Owned and operated by Elizabeth Stromberg, Bosquecito Quarter Horses has been providing horse boarding and training since 1993 at competitive prices. We are located off Valley Drive 'State Road 185' 3 miles north of Mayfield High School on Westwind Road. For boarding your four-legged friend Bosquecito Quarter Horses provides the best service in the valley! Horses are

turned out into Bermuda grass pastures to graze daily. The facility has lots of grass, trees and flowers. Stalls and corrals are cleaned daily. A pleasant environment for the horse and owner is important to us.

We take care of your horses the way we take care of ours! Serving students in New Mexico, west Texas, and southern Arizona, we also provide training for show horses in western pleasure, trail, showmanship, horsemanship, hunter under saddle and English equitation. And, we do halter horse conditioning and fitting. Although showing quarter horses is our focus, we have trained and shown paints, and pintos. Lessons are available for the serious show competitor for $40.00 a lesson. There are usually several show ready horses for sale or lease.

The focus of Bosquecito Quarter Horses is instructing youth or adult horse owners interested in showing horses. As a retired public school teacher, Elizabeth has the hands on experience as well as the teaching ability to explain to students what they need to know to get that show arena polished look. Your show arena success is our goal! Previous customers have earned AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) points by their 2nd time in the show arena. Both youth and amateur exhibitors have gone on to win year-end hi-point show saddles with area quarter horse associations. Several of the youth have qualified for the NMQHYA (New Mexico Quarter Horse Association) Youth World team and shown at Youth World. One of the youth Pinto exhibitors won a Pinto World title in 11 and under trail. In 2009 there were 5 year end hi-point show saddles won in NMQHA and SWQHA by Bosquecito Quarter Horses students in novice youth, youth, novice amateur, and amateur divisions. In 2010 there were two year end high point show saddles won in youth and novice youth in SWQHA and high point novice youth and reserve high point youth in NMQHA. Bosquecito Quarter Horses has one student winning two saddles: novice youth and youth in SWQHA.

Elizabeth Stromberg has successfully shown quarter horses since 1977 earning multiple top 10 placings at World in trail. She has served on the Boards of New Mexico Quarter Horse Association and Southwest Quarter Horse Association and is a past-President of Zia Paint Horse Club.
